What is a catio?
A catio is an outdoor enclosure allowing your furry kids to safely enjoy their natural environment, while giving you the peace of mind that they are safe. A catio is a great way to expand their world and help them live a longer and healthier life.

Types of Catios
Catios come in many shapes and sizes and can be built in a variety of places. These include windows, porches, decks or in the yard. Maybe there is a special place they like hanging out, such as a garden or a favorite tree. We can do many things to accommodate their wishes!
What's a catio made of?
Happy Cat Condo uses wood framing. We use douglas fir, if we are painting. Otherwise, we will upgrade to redwood and cedar throughout. There are many floor options, as well, such as natural(dirt or grass), decking, slate or brick, to name a few.
There are also a few wall choices. My favorite, for Tucson, is an indestructible pet specific screen. It's tough as nails and will keep you and your furry children safe from snakes.
How does my cat get in?
Your cat will probably enter through a cat door placed in a wall or window. Sometimes access is through a tunnel from an enclosed porch.
